A very exciting opportunity has reached the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at FIU! We have been invited to attend one the LARGEST conferences for Electrical and Power Engineers in the world! With an Expo of over 650 companies and an expected attendance of over 14,000 engineers from 70 countries, the 2012 IEEE T&D Conference and Exposition in Orlando, FL is one of the most impressive events of its kind. AND, the IEEE PES (Power Engineering Society) has agreed to spend hundreds of dollars to subsidize nearly 100% of the cost for any student who is willing to attend!!
The conference will take place on Monday, May 7th through Thursday, May 10th in the Orange County Convention Center. We are even trying to arrange for free charter buses to get students to come from every college in the Southeast!
The total registration cost of $40 (must be IEEE undergraduate student members) includes:
Exhibit Hall Access – We are expecting over 600 companies for the exposition and other cool demos!
Student Job Fair
Various Technical Sessions from Tuesday to Thursday
Monday Conference Reception
Tuesday Conference Lunch
Wednesday Networking Reception
Wednesday Poster Sessions with Reception
Thursday Closing Reception
The website to register for the competition is http://www.ieeet-d.org/
